Hello and welcome to my blog!

I have a full-time job (unrelated to my passion pursuits), and spend my weekends and evenings where my passion lies…in writing.

I created this blog in the hopes that you will get to know me as a person, and therefore, maybe take an interest in my books along the way. If not, at least we can enjoy getting to know each other.

This is mainly about my writing journey, the ups/downs/highs/lows, as well as my personal life. I am not here to share my poetry, short stories, or to serialize my fiction novels. They have their place in my published works which you can find here.

About me, I am from West Michigan, and now back living in West Michigan, although I have lived and traveled all over the United States. Michigan is always my home.

I root for the Detroit Lions, and prefer lake water to salt water. “Shark-free” -that’s for me!

I live with my parents, and we have a mutually respectful relationship. I consider them both friend and family.

My sister died in 2010 in a terrible car accident, leaving behind a husband and three children.

I became an only child that day.

My family has become my world since this tragedy, and I find that their needs become my needs.

In our home, we have three dogs, and one cat. Our dogs are spoiled rotten, and rule the roost quite appropriately I’d say.

Bashful, our cat, is nearly 18 years old and still counting. She likes to wait till everyone is in bed that yowls at top volume.
